But why? Why can't we let as many as possible? Why can't we let them in? Our nation (the eurocentric part at least) was founded on immigration and we can over by the droves and overcame the indians in population. It didn't matter if they wanted us here, we came anyways. Now we think we can deny other people access to our stolen land? Look at the big picture.
At least people back then were able to migrate west when things got a little too crowded. There’s nowhere to go now. Shoot look at how many Indians still exist today. We don’t have that room anymore. Our country would be like a democratic China. I’m sure if we took all the immigrants and sent them to the unpopulated parts of the U.S we might do ok for awhile. But the fact is that too many people are immigrating to the big populated areas as it is. The price of food goes up, and the cost of utilities goes up too. Just as an example, anyone who makes less than 100,000 here in the bay area can’t afford to even own a home. You have to move away from where everything’s at. Sooner or later there won’t be any places to go. |

They CAN'T, hence you answered your previous question of why can't we have an open border policy. I felt a little better after having read your post.... I realize you're not an idiot--you're an idealist; which would be worse, if it wasn't for the hope they you can become more of a realist, with the right information and education!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) *oops* left this sitting on my screen without hitting submit. Wasn't ignoring you Tele! :D btw all: get it down people! We don't live in a Democracy, we live in a REPUBLIC! We are NOT a democracy. (More homework for some of you). |

Okay... this is going to take a little more time, and I have to put the kids down to bed soon, so I cannot give this the attention it in NO way deserves. Don't know why I'm bothering. Let's look at your inspiring genius "Silicon god" (self proclaimed title I'm assuming) in his dissertation, "The Boy who Cried Iraq". **sigh** It's not possible. Someone who is not staggering drunk or a mindless idiot cannot get through the inflamitory, self-serving, argumentative dung this guy writes. Let's see: Unsubstantiated rhetoric. Plain and simple. He doesn't even try to cite sources--he feels that by simply stating this, makes it true. He's a victim of his own battle cry, not delivering what he promises: He feints at having sources at the end of the article, but they are meaningless because they are not footnoted anywhere in the article, none of them are used to substantiate any of the gross statements he makes in the body of his article; besides most are widely know as extremest or slanted sources, being the socialists and facist that they are, hardly credible. He is hoping in his diarehha of ideas he splatters, that if he does as he claims the Bush Administration is doing, ""A Lie Told Often Enough Becomes The Truth" -Vladimir Lenin; that his own lies will be seen as truth. ;) I remember you sayin' that now Moochie! |
The problem is there are all these illegals who think they can avoid the law. I work, I pay my taxes. They work, they buy cases of Corona cause the government doesn't know they exist.
Well if the law says they can't be there, what do you expect them to do? They're not trying to screw you, they're trying to feed their families. @Malibu: Read the last page at least. The beginning is info, the middle is a rant, and the last one or two pages are intelligent. |

Okay, for you Tele... I'll try one more time. But take a lesson from this moron--if you want to be taken as intelligent, don't go off on a rant for six pages with no cited examples, then expect people to take you seriously. You will have NO credibility. He might have just as well called come small country in Europe... I dunno... 'invisible'?

Are you not able to believe what i say, even after i cite sources, just because i called Finland politically invisible? What is so hard to see here - it's kind of obvious - Finland is politically invisible. It's not a bad thing, it's just the way it is. It doesn't make Finland or her people any less of a nation, they are just not apparent when it comes to world politics, which should be counted as a blessing. Nos. |

You took my post out of context Nos. I've backed you and supported you in spirit all along. I was referring to the link Tele had posted some time back that he and I have been playing volleyball with ever since. All of my criticisms were about the moron who wrote the article Tele posted. The comment at the end was tongue in cheek, and recall humor pointing to the MISUNDERSTANDING at the beginning of this endless thread. I find you very credible, and have enjoyed your posts all along. Me thinks perhaps you are guilty now of skimming threads... :D or maybe you just misunderstood me. I apologize for making you think I would speak that harshly about you. I would think you would know me better, but the internet misses the benefit of facial expressions and non-verbal communication. I should have put a bunch of smiley faces there. My bad. |

Yeah, i am guilty of skimming, but i read a good chunk of the website Tele posted, and i knew you were referring to it there in your post, but i didn't realize you were just making light of the "invisible" situation, lol. Gah, i'm a moron, sorry about that :D. Nos. |
