I know how to fix all those problems.
Know how? Buy a Mac. You'll thank yourself forever. :D

Take a look at those awesome G5's.

YES!

I was waiting for it. Yeah, perhaps I should mention also that macs are impervious to viruses. I've actually intentionally downloaded files that I knew were virus ridden, just for the hell of it. It's like being bulletproof. And don't get me started on Safari's pop up blocker (Apple+k, it's that simple).

What do you mean limit your software selection? Every major graphics app is available for Mac, and 10 times better on it.

And don't throw "I'm a gamer, the Mac doesn't have any games". If you want to game, get a Playstation.

And seeing what Panther will be like, just watch. In 2005 when longhorn comes out, Macs will be so far ahead longhorn will look like Windows 3.1.

And they aren't too expensive. You get what you pay for. Lets see if that Dell is still truckin' along 5 years from now.

I'm really not trying to flame, I'm just stating the facts.

PREACH IT MY BROTHA!

Heh heh heh. You're SOOOOOOOOOOright. PC gamers piss me off so bad. Especially crap like alienwares. Your dropping like, $2000 on a freakin' glorified X-Box! Grow up, for craps sake! I enjoy a healthy round of Unreal Tournament or CS from time to time, but why would I let that dictate an investment like a $2000 COMPUTER. Impulse buys shouldn't reach into the thousands.

I never said I was a gamer. I mean, I play games, but mostly just starcraft, and thats on the mac too. But that wasn't really what I was refering to. There's other programs besides every major graphics software... and I don't like dell... I'd rather build my computer from the ground up... which is something you can't really do with a mac. And, theres not just windows for the pc, theres all those *nix platforms, so I still think pc's are great. And graphics software 10 times better on mac? I don't think so.

You can too build a Mac. TechTV's site has several articles about it.

And Linux runs on Macs, too. And you don't call OS X 'a UNIX platform'?

Just saw your edit...

If they aren't 10 times better, how come all these graphics design job requirements say, "Must have extensive knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and QuarkXPress on the MAC"?

Probably because thats all they got at their office, duh! Obviously you wouldn't want someone with extensive knowledge of programs of a different system than what you have. And they don't all say that. When 2advanced had their list of requirements for a position, (And it was a really long list) It did mention those programs, but it didn't mention the mac.
