Well, today I had quite an annoying expierence with Windows ME. A while back, about a few months ago i guess, windows came up with this message saying it had low space on c drive. I have a 40 gig hard drive with C: having 10 gb and D: having 30. So I sorta wondered why this would happen, since last time I checked the c: drive had several gigabytes left. So, I deleted a few files until I had about 1 gig left, which was still less than it should have been. This happened a few times since that, but I just deleted files to make up for it. But Some times I would delete stuff and I wouldn't gain any space. So today, I had about 477 megabytes on the drive. That was good and all, but I wanted more, and some stuff was messing up. So I deleted a few files and ran a few fixer programs, only to find at the end, I had a mere 8 megs of space left!!! I would delete stuff with no gain in space. I was just about at my wits end, and I was searching around on google to find some help. I came across some stuff that talked about the system restore feature. Well, I had thought about this, but I did turn it off a while back. But I read on anyways. So after reading I found the _restore folder. I had checked before, and it didn't seem to have that many files in it that took up much space. But I deleted it anyways. And BAM! 5 gigs of space is suddenly FREE!!! I was sooooooooo happy!! But man... I hate windows sometimes!

Windows ME is the worst. You should upgrade to XP if at all possible.

well if it was win98 I'd say reboot in to msdos mode and run a full scan disk :\ but just run a full scan disk from winblows and it should give you the right settings also you need to defrag. |

That's just people abusing XP's netsend messenger service, just go turn it off in your Computer Services.
