A ? for all you designers.... or maybe

i have a degree in architecture and took a few independent study classes in art and animation while i was in school and learned HTML on my own. i graduated almost 5 years ago (wow) and since then have pretty much taught myself Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, and learned design in general on my own and at places i worked.

self taught about yr ago. Learned html bout 2 yrs ago, and started php about 6 months ago.

Learned HTML 5 years ago with....guess it.....Notepad! I learned that in school, and then i bought a book on it. Then i started Visual Basic...decided that was too hard and did graphics instead. I thought myself Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark and Cinema 4D.

I'm now studying art, and then going to do a graphic design degree.

self taught started a couple of months ago actually.... hmmm i think it was like 2 weeks before i started posting in here...

i just started going to school for it tho so when i try and get a job i have some documentation of a background besides my actual skills

cool.... I was wondering how many of you went to school for graphic design or took classes.... I have learned almost everything from tutorials (photoshop and flash) and the print graphics I read books as well as badgered our rep at the print company we use, man he was patient. hehe
Also I was curious (for those who took classes), what did you think about graphic design classes? I have thought of taking some here in the near future.

Classes?

take 'em. Especially typography and color theory. Life drawing and printmaking were darn handy as well. And psychology and my personal favorite, DEVIANT BEHAVIOR!!!!

u miss College???? hehe. I am so tired of college I still havent filled out my graduation papers.

But I was also curious about those classes you see that teach about "professional" graphics and the theory behind design, from a pseudo artistic/marketable thought.
I dont want to totally sell out, but wanted some peoples opinions on what they thought about graphic schools and if they felt they were beneficial.

got my BFA (concentration: drawing) in 1998...started with photoshop and html in 1998 for fun...got a job doing it full-time in 2000!
