could you please point the soul out to me on a graph of the human body? thanks. Loose, religious terms like "soul" only complicate and broaden the issue. Opens up a whole new can of religious worms. let me ask you this, then - Isn't any kind of contraception murder? what about the morning after pill? How about rape? What about sperm? By not impregnating a woman, is that sperm really getting a fair "shot" at life? I DEMAND SPERM RIGHTS! VOTE PRO-SPERM! you guys are fun. I know I'm gonna rot one of your minds. |

Mihai - my sperm are alive, man! If I get really drunk and kill a few, am I a murderer? On the topic of prevention... isn't abortion preventing birth? preventing unwanted, underpriveleged, unloved children? preventing overpopulation? preventing an adult mother from living out HER life as she wants to? or, is it killing all of these things? Or is abortion killing or preventing people from talking about the war, the economy, the campaign reform, welfare reform, energy crises, job shortages, foreign relations, etc... I think we all agree that it is. |

I think some women should have a forced abortion. Some people just dont deserve to have children. I wish I would have been aborted instead of put through this whole f-cked up life. Endat |

mihai, I really enjoyed your earlier posts where you were stating to forget about laws and look to the moral side of this issue concerning abortion. Now, can you emphasize a bit more on that? I fully understand and agree that a law, rules, regulations, will not truly change anyone inwardly, but that it must be an inward decision of how one will regard life (and I'm speaking only in regards to this thread concerning the termination of life at any stage, be it potential or not). So then, what would you say would be step forward in understanding the responsibilities we have as humans possesing the abillity to produce life, with regards to morality? I posted shortly after mattboy started the thread, and have read all the posts that have been made so far. I still have many questions as this continues, but if the issue is looked at as a moral issue, I think decision making (concerning children) might be made more on the side of wisdom than just jumping in the sack to alleviate sexual stress. Here in the states it is the middle to lower class women that my be the ones in the majority to have an abortion, but how do you encourage morals and quality choices to be made? Endat1, c'mon dog, I know life can be a pain sometimes man, but apparently your alive for a purpose and finding that purpose just might be the reason you're alive today. |
