As far I'm desensitized for the movies and games, it doesn't mean I'm not desensitized for the cruelties of real life. I can't stand watching dead people lying on the streets in palestina, hungry kids in Sudan and so forth..

I think some people like to watch the real stuff to see that their life isn't so bad afterall despite the troubles they somthimes have. But people who live in those situaties can only get more angry from the stuff shown.

malibu....i couldnt have said it any better myself....and deker....
if a terrorist wanted to kill some one he would learn how....even if there werent book, movies or games.....my point is that young kids are getting brainwashed like the 20 yr old that was one of the snipers, and they are killing people....why many reasons , not just games but games are ways of showing these kids that its not that bad to kill someone....and sidez.....
violent games you say is education for you.....o well you must be a very gifted person that learns in the most misterous ways....
you killing people everytime you turn on your game system is a way for you not to kill people outside....so if i took away your system you would go on a shooting rampage?????
.....dont get it
but malibu has some good things that people should read....go to the previous page and youll basically sums up everything i have said

Well, I call it being creative. I don't get worked up that easy anyways and I'm smart enough not to go around killing people cause well.. I'll end up myself getting shot by cops. That happens in games too.

Oh ya, the shooter in the sniper incident is 41 years old and was an army veteran in the Gulf war. Nothing to do with games and brainwashing.

Then perhaps his psycho ex-military killer dad had a little more to do with him being a part of it than a ****in' video game...

Why we kept talking bout it was because you were defending your statement bout computer games causing such things. Hey, I have a life other than sitting on the computer all day long. This is afterall a discussion board, we're just discussion this issue that you brought on bout games and stuff like that.

Games and media isn't the culprit, it's us. It depends whether or not one can handle it psychologically. Millions of teenagers play violent games and the amount of school shootings/teenage violence is very low, and incidents where video games were a proven factor in making one go on a shooting spree is almost zero. If video games really can do harm, then I'm waiting for my flamethrower to come in the mail anytime soon.
