Living out in Iowa, it's a tremendously popular hunting destination. 8 or 9 times per day if you're not inside, you hear gunshots from outside of town, and you think about the sniper. You know it's a shotgun blast by the sound, but you still think about what's going on in DC. It's things like this that change the mentality of the whole country. Unfortunately, this has got anti-gun nuts going absolutely crazy again, which makes me want to shoot one of those people.

Scary thing is...the police narrowed him down to be 16-20 years old. I do think he is not an American because he used the word "policemen". Maybe he is disguising himself??

I'm just glad firearms can't be bought legally here. You know its sad if they started to blame games and kids over this incident. I mean, a sniper takes years to train to shoot right. I don't think its some random kid who goes around shooting people for no reason.

Why do so many people go nuts over the right to have a gun? I think the NRA people are all nuts. When columbine happened they all came out in full force, sickos!!!

Michael Moore is great (check out "Bowling for Columbine"!), I wish more Americans thought like him. It's time to get out of this 1800's mentality. The reason things are screwed up and people are dying is cause any wacko can get a gun here!!! I don't have anything against guns if used for hunting 'animals' or at the range or some **** like that, but hell... anyone who has a criminal record should absolutely be denied the right to own one and that's all I got to say about that!

Overall guns generally suck and Charlton Heston is lame :p

the thing is that he doesn't necessarily have to be THAT trained. yes, he's been accurate, but with a gun that powerful from under 100 yards or so its really not that hard. "real" snipers are usually shooting from like 300-400 yards minimum, often a lot more than that.

I think it's more impressive that he hasn't been caught, than that he can make a shot from far away.
