Mattboy I agree - thats what needs to be done, find the people and frankly show them no mercy. Dispose of them quickly and efficiently. About democracy- Waging a war on an entire country, with all its citizens - regardless of their opinions is something which is actually undemocratic. Hopefully this isnt what you are saying. Democracy means nothing when missiles are aimed in the vicinity of women and children. Condemning people for their religious or other opinions is completely undemocratic America isn't the only democratic country and it certainly wasn't the first. This ludicrous mentality of "good versus evil" is the kind of thing which will lead to an escalation. Believe me we will all suffer when that happens. The world is full of nuclear weapons. Your own president said it was an attack on the free world, and I agree with this. Remember there would have also been ARABS in that building. The muslim religion although it may not appeal to you and me stands ABSOLUTLEY against this kind of horror. We really feel the need here to support America 100% in this and the whole world including the Russians genuinely feel this way. To say that the attack was on your country and "its personal" (by the way this isnt a Swarzenegger movie) is also insensitive when thousands from all over the world have died. Why do so many (all though not the majority) of Arabs hate the US? American foriegn policy at the moment and its one sided support of Israels interests certainly needs to be looked at. I'm sorry to upset your rose colored view but this is an economic position, and is to protect Us economic interests. It is certainly true that Palestinians have been dying and are oppressed. Your view of history too with regard to the Gulf war and the terrible loss of life there needs to be examined- Sadam Hussein is still alive aso for some unknown reason (economic stability). Be aware that propaganda happens in all countries. |

I felt that a lot of us needed a place to express our emotions about what has happened in the last few days. Please take a moment to post a few things at www.finalphase.org/wtc

Contrary to popular belief, money isn't the only thing that makes this world go 'round. If you want to get into Israeli/Arab relations, then you need to look at the history of these nations, not just what's been going on in your lifetime. They aren't fighting over money, and we certainly aren't getting involved over money. Granted, it might be a ripple of the initial step, but definitely not the motivation behind it. Israel isn't just a nation, they are the chosen people of God, whether or not they act like it, and whether or not you believe it to be true. Arab nations that curse the God of Israel have brought this upon themselves, just as we in the U.S.(and so many others) have brought on the disgrace of our own nation. Then people say that God is to blame! God has set the world in motion with laws, not just spiritual, but physical as well. When we contradict those laws, there should be an understanding that consequences will come of it. Think of it this way: a man is walking down a long hallway, doors are scattered on both sides of the hall, many of which he go in and out freely. one of the doors he comes to has a sign on it that reads: "Do Not Enter - Trespassers Will Be Punished". the man thinks to himself, "I am the only one who is in this hallway, who could have possibly put this here?". he ponders a moment and then convinces himself that he should have the right to investigate this room. "I have been walking this hall for days and will be done soon, it couldn't hurt to look inside." so he does. the room is dark, very dimmly lit and slightly chilled. he steps in to make some sense of his environment, but there is nothing to be seen. he hears a creak and notices that the door is closing slowly behind him. he races toward the light of the hall and catches the door just in time. "Well," he thought to himself, "that wasn't so bad.", and removed the sign from the door, tossing it aside. continueing his journey he came to the next door, and, proceeding to enter, found that it was locked. "That's strange." he thought. he went to the next door, which seemed to be locked as well. from door to door he checked the knobs, none of them turned. "This can't be!" he said out loud. "Who has locked these doors? he began beating loudly against the solid wood, then kicking and almost breaking his arm trying to force his way in. he even went back and tried rooms that he had entered before. nothing openned. nothing, that is, accept the one door. the door that he was warned not to enter. we as a world have made some horrible decisions. we can't expect things to be better, or to ever get better. There is hope, but it involves a submission that most people aren't willing to make. So the world will keep on going, for a while. Soon, it will end, and every one of us will go on living, or dying. It's either one or the other. Black or white. And there most certainly is hope. |

Axiom wrote, "I had a gruesome realization today. I walked into a grocery store owned by a Muslim family. He had the news on. He was laughing." We probably will too if we destroy anything of theirs. He was probably: 1. Some Palestinean who ended up here, not of his choosing. 2. An anti-American American. 3. Someone discriminated against because he was either a general Arab or a Muslim. I was walking along at school, and a group of people walked past the two others walking with me, and one of them said, "Hey Omar, your people bombed our country!" Isn't that just so ignorant? He knew nothing about him except that he was a foreigner (from Morroco!) and he was a Muslim! People should at least investigate something instead of making ignorant statements! Why the prejudice? Anyway, I think that there may be more people behind this than you think. Where do you think the hijackers got their licenses to fly? They may have been Iraqis. I am pretty sure Saddam Husein doesn't like the US very much, either. He may have supplied some of the hijackers. Anyway, what do you think the Palestineans are thinking as they read our forums? They hear our angers and fears, and that's what they want. They read my last sentence, and laugh at my unconscious attempt to look better than others here. That is, if they can read it. As for your rational and intelligent friends, they temporarily became irrational as a result of rage. Again, I'm not trying to look perfect or anything. Matteo wrote, "Of course I know, if they didn't hate us so much, they would not have done this. And what facts do you want me to look at? What did we do to them? Is our Christianity killing their people? No." Did you ever hear of the Crusades? Hmm... Some people killed Muslims. Sure, it was a long time ago, but haven't Christians been telling Muslims that they were going to hell because of their beliefs? I mean, what if they didn't believe in hell? What if your 1.5 billion members were all wrong? I am of neither of these religions, but please allow me to recall this event: When I was going to a Lutheran middle school in Illinois, my teacher asked me about my religion. I told here some about my religion. When I told here the name, and that it was foreign, she immediately told me I was going to hell. Nice person. Tell her I will be in good company. "Although I am not racist, I do not agree with their beliefs of how they treat their women over there. Because we allow our women to show their faces, does that make us evil people? No. " Do you think they crashed four freakin' planes in the US just to make a point about how our women are allowed to dress? I don't think so. I have to go, but I might say more later. No offense to anyone, I'm not better than any of you. |

Well I hate to get into religion here, and I am not religious, although at times I do hope that there is a God, I do not rely on Him for my day-to-day activites. But there have been many, and there still are many, of those hard-core Christian fundamentalists who think that everyone that does not strictly follow the Christian religion are going to hell and must die and be forced into the slums of civilization. I listen to Phyllis Shatley on Saturday mornings just so I could hear her unbelievely ignorant beliefs and values. She has a website located here: http://www.eagleforum.org/ Notice: some of the things you read there will blow your mind. It's almost unbelieveable that people still think that way. A radio discussion about 2 weeks ago was about keeping gays out of schools. Now homosexuality grosses me out, but I don't think that any gay person should be discriminated against. That is no different than forcing Jewish into concentration camps. Again, I hate to get off subject, but the same people on that radio show are the same people you were talking about vortex, and it's disturbing to think that those people are still out there, which bothers me just as much as this whole terrorism thing has. Everyday I am surprised at how humans can act upon and against each other in such ways. Although I should not be surprised, since I do see it every single day, but it's just hard to swallow. |
