Why is it such a big secret anyways?

If you spent numerous hours perfecting a technique which no one else could duplicate, wouldn't you keep it secret? Sure, its a help forum, but what fun is sharing everything :D. Like the Colonel not giving us his tasty chicken recipe... but if Im not mistaken, because of food allergies, KFC is obligated to tell people whats in it... wow, what a tangent.
