Eisner says it’s a PR stunt but a Disney spokesman said: "We advised both Moore's agent and Miramax in May of 2003 that the film would not be distributed. That decision stands."

personally, i'm kinda sick of moore. i think he's got some talent, but he's into displaying things as fact that aren't quite accurate (and sometimes are flat-out lies). 'bowling for columbine' is an example of that, presented as a documentary yet with dramatically manipulated facts in places to present the truth as he sees it. sure, every film is going to have the filmmaker's spin on it, but there's a point where it loses its documentary status and i don't think he has any respect for that line. chris |

Moore just feeds off of anti-American propaganda, especially in Europe. They eat his stuff up, and he just keeps rolling in cash. Pretty smart guy, and his fans are total dupes. Nos. |

i think that he has some merit to his views, but he goes about them wrong. He misrepresents things in his films to get the affect he wants. Like in bowling for columbine when it looks like he gets his gun from the bank that day, but they really had to wait the 3 week waiting period or somthin just like all firearms

Why shouldn’t Americans be allowed to see his film though? Misinterpreting the facts? Hey, that’s what the news does anyways. The only difference is his misinterpretations are different than our news broadcasts. Personally I’d like to see what he has to say and decide for myself. I saw Bowling for Columbine and I questioned what he had to say in many parts. Even if I don’t agree with the whole film I’m glad I was able to see it.
