What type of website do you like?

It really depends on the purpose of the site.

For sites used for online brochures and stuff people want there sites to create a first impression that will last, thus maybe flash or graphic intense html (but I despise flash intro's). If i were to look up a companies site which i intended to deal with i would make my decision on whether to use them or not by the way their site looked.

Other sites such as ecommerce sites I would prefer to be less graphic intense as i would like to get info as quick as possble.

I dislike:
1. Bright Contrasting colors
2. Totally black websites.
3. Storybooks (if a page has to much text on it i will surf on past it)

All up i like flash when used properly. I know it has downsides but it is going to get better.

Yup, have always had problems with...like reading text on those websites...The black text sorta floats into the black background ;)

i'm not a big fan of flash .. i like easy-to-navigate sites with a nice look to them.

basically (correct me if im wrong) but u lot want a website that...

-Loads quickly (not too graphically intense or flash intros)
-Straight to the point of the website
-Simple layout (doesnt distract from content)
-UNIQUE
-Easy on the eyes

with this info i shall modify my current production "eMo3"
it's pretty simple atm but i'l do it to your tastes all th same

it will load (apart from content pictures) in less that 2seconds on 56k (so less that 10k)
although as i've heard ppl dont like flash that much, and im planning to use flash on the menu :D lol hee see what we think.. eh?...

a lot of these guys who say they don't like/prefer flash are still guys that oggle over sites like 2advanced and wddg, so don't sweat it.

If it's flash, these guys aren't gonna automatically hate it. After all...

they will only hate it if the flash sucks!
