What type of website do you like?

Im a flash lover to a certain point. I like flash because of its usability/interactivity. I also like to have just about total creative freedom. I find html somewhat restricting and outdated. But i hate flash when ppl make a "FLASH" site. Intros...flying crap...follow my freaking mouse.... all those "hey...i just started learning flash 2 days ago..look what i can do" effects. Its just not needed and it makes me violent(lol). Flash has some good technology in it...but ppl just abuse it too much.

Enough ranting......I just like sites that are original/creative/done well. I dont care what format its in..how they did it..even if it takes a long time to load on my 56k. If it took more than 10 minutes to put together and has an actual "thought process" behind it.......then i'll give it the respect it deserves by viewing it.

if you need flash to make intuitive navigation and perfect flow, you need to find a new hobby. There are far too many pure HTML/Graphical sites that operate much better than any flash site to say that flash makes it possible to generate clean navigation more often than with HTML.

What flash folks don't realize is that some people still don't have flash or refuse to install it. Personally, I hate browser plug-ins and any site that requires me to have one to view their site won't get my attention.

Flash has it's uses. Building great web presentations is one of those uses. But if you are making a pure graphic/web design site to show of your portfolio, there are much better ways. Check out praystation. Joshu Davis is one of the greatest flash developers around. He realizes the need for HTML and the disdain some folks feel for pure flash driven sites.

So, i guess you could say I like HTML/Graphical Sites. If you wanna make a flash site, be my guest. Please, experiment and learn new stuff. But give me an option to chose flash or html.

i'm not a big fan of flash intro's, if the option is there to skip it 99 times out of 100 i will, i'm a big fan of summery looking sites with rounded edges and easy going gradients, they're easy on the eye, and some photography never goes amiss ;)

HTML. Either graphically intense and complex looking or stupidly simple but still artistic.

i like websites that are just like pankpages :D

I like big moving .gif hearts.... hypnotising....

I like clean simple webistes with good content.

I don't like websites. They are worse-tasting than mushrooms.
