Well, if... "Evan gets the award for #1 laptop 0wnz0r"

Deker gets the award for #1 best possible reply to that thread...

"it's already been discussed here 20 billion times. "

Good job, deker.

my brief, unwanted commentary (as if I need to...) Work professionally in the digital imaging industry, try to open, edit and exchange your beautiful PC files with a 100% Macintosh operated environment. I promise, you'll wish you spent the extra scratch on a Powerbook.

1- No matter the debate, Mac's handle color profiles thousands of times better than any pc. ColorSync vs ICC Profiles...*cough*

2- You can indeed compare and 800Mhz mac system to a 2.0+Ghz PC system. The difference is bus-speed and bus-width. PC's...still stuck with 32bit busses...Mac's...128bit Busses. That alone causes a dramatic increase in performance.

In the end, congrats on getting a Mac. They are as easy to setup as they claim. Speaking from experience, I can have a DSL customer with a mac up and running 20 minutes before the PC customer gets the driver disk into the cd rom.
