whats the best 3d program out there

im still really new, so maybe i wouldnt understand but i don't see the big deal, what all the fuss is about. maybe some people dont know and they just want opinions...

but when someone comes along and runs through every single area of the forum and posts one little thing there so he can see his name all the the way down the board...

as for this, i for one can vouch for behavior that would appear to look like this. let me explain. i do not have time to visit these forums very often, but i really like to. when i do come here, i like offering my opinion and suggestions to people that ask, so i do. Here is my routine, i go into an area, start at the top and work my way down. If i have something to say I say it, if something is good, i usually will tell them, if i think something could look better, i tell them. by the time i have to leave, i see my name almost straight down the board, but that is only because i have veiwed and replied to all the topics quickly. then i leave and don't get to come back for a few days. i try to keep up with my posts via email too.

I dont think mattboy should have come off like that in his first reply. it wasn't needed.

As for my opinion: i personally like 3d studio max the most. I found it was really easy to use. i just couldn't get the hand of lightwave. Maya is very powerful, but i dont need that kind of power so i stick with familiar ol' 3DSMAX. it is true though to get a really nice program you need to have a mass'o'plugins for max.
