awhile back I had posted a design I was working on, and now I have a small update to make. I'm stuck, it's not working and I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with it. I want it to be clean and sharp. Here's the current version: version 5 Here's the older version I had before: version 4 Any ideas on what I can do with this? Also, any suggestions for making really clean sharp lines? Mine are all fuzzy. Thanks! |

okay, I don't know if this is exactly what you meant, but here's a new version with some more changes. I don't think I like the stuff I added to the banner, I'll have to think of something else. If you have any ideas as to what I could include, please do say. version 6 How does it look now? |

thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. I'm going to work on it a little more, so I'll post an update when I do. Does anyone have any idea how to make really nice, crisp, clean, fine lines? |

okay, here I have the latest version: version 7 One thing I notice is that the title doesn't stand out as much anymore. What do ya'll think? Better than number 6? What's left to improve? |

i like the spotlight on the site news idea, but i dont think its working, it looks jumbled. I think the white strip that angles down to the menu should be behind the filmstrip. definately try to add some movement to the strip, that would be so cool, it would add to the 'movie' effect of the site. or a slight idea for the title- this would make it easier to read probably, and it would be cool. Starting on the left have the first frame be black and grey(the best white they could get :D ) and then show a progression of flim history through the strip ending with a crisp gladiator frame or something from the matrix, just from some movie that is great filming. You would end up haveing a greyscale behind the title, and you could arrange it correctly so that the film would go into grainy noisy colour, then end in sharp crisp colour. I suspect that the site is not information about film, but that would show some truth in the progression of film. |

thanks, five, I really appreciate your feedback. I'm definitely going to try some of those suggestions. For the moment, I have found a new font and a couple different filmstrip pictures. I think it looks better. What do you think? version 8 I'm going to have to look for some stills from some older movies. I really like your idea of doing a gradual change from monochromatic to color. I might even do a B&W - Sepia - Color fade. Thanks again for your input. |
