umm before re-installing PS, defragmenting drives, and sacrificing your first born and stuff like that....you may want to try thrashing the pref file....

Index mode does that, but you're clearly working in RGB. Try duplicating your file, just for kicks... Then, ditch your preferences. Not sure how to do that in XP. somebody want to help her out - or do a search on Google for "Photoshop preferences in Windows." |

Dont worry about taht window coming up, thats normal on a new installation and settings being off, is it still not working?

you shouldnt have to reinstall that many times with no results. i would get a new copy. sorry. but it sounds like you have a major problem w/ your photoshop. p.s. uninstall AOL while you're at it. lol |

If you open images that were saved at higher resolutions, like 300ppi or 150ppi, and copy it, that setting is saved (usually) for the following new Photoshop documents you make as long as it's on your clipboard. When the document res. is set at 300ppi (normal screen resolution is 72ppi), your text may appear REALLY small (unless you're working with pixel heights). |

:confused: Its probably a 300 DPI issue like stated above. maybe she did get it fixed

w00t! I may have actually done something right for once. Sometimes photo's will come in at 300ppi, and sometimes certain images copy/pasted from the internet will come in like that too.
