How do i make this image?

the banner on the site now is not what i wanted. they had an old banner i wanted to make. i still have the pic and i will put the link to the pic later today.

look you'll need somekind of 3d prog. Could be 3d studio max or the other one there, whats it? cinema 4dxl (i've been outta the scene for a while)...somethin like that. anyways, you'd have to dish out some serious cash. That image is pretty bad, simple no time put into it. And it was probably made pretty randomly, your not going to be able to produce the exact same thing. there are a number of ways you could do something like that. You could create an object and manually extrude and manipulate it. But that was probably just an object (any object) with an applied noise filter. Set to fractals for the jaggedness and thats it...pretty shallow. If you seriously have 3d max and wanna do it i'll point you to some exact tutorials.
