[vent]ok first of all, i was out of town yesterday and today and my family was moving, so my stepdad hooked up the computer (he did fine, thats not the problem) and i get back tonight and start to use it. well first of all i was a little annoyed with the extreme amount of disarray my computer was in (4 IE windows, msg boxes all over the screen, my desktop was all rearranged, my folder icons changed, and not to mention, it was left running RTCW..(whoever played it didnt quit.)

ok so i get everything back to normal, and after a while i start to work on a layout for a site, just for fun. so i get ready to save, and whaddya know..MY F'ING PROJECTS FOLDER IS GONE!!!!!

the folder that i keep ALL OF MY SITE FILES on..
its about a 40 mb folder...all gone. i was about to cry. i looked in the c:\documents&settings(blahblah)\desktop folder also and it wasnt there either. so right before i go to spark up the chainsaw, i decide to see if somebody put it in a different folder.

well sure enough, there it is in downloads.....

man it just really pisses me off when you leave for a day or two and people **** with your **** and just mess everything up..if someone has to use my computer, why cant just use it..they dont have to go customizing everything. i understand they may have needed to since mine is the only one with an internet connection, since we just moved, but still..

LEAVE MY **** ALONE! GOD DAMN!

Next time, lock the comp. That what I do everyday when I leave for school.
XP and Win2K has the desktop locking feature.

After that I put the comp on standby. No one can access my comp without the password. Even if they reboot, they still have to log in. I only have one profile which is Administrator.

I hardly reboot my comp so no problem with loggin in too much.

If you had a mac, you could use the 'keychain' facility whihc block others from certain programs.

Fourty megs?! CHILD! INFEDEL! MUAHAHAHAHAAAA! Yeah, I only have six gigs. Poo. Only six. Maybe I should get off my ass and actually do some more. Who knows. So anyways, yes. Lock your computer. If worse comes to worse, put a BIOS password on the damned thing. Won't hurt you, thats for sure! Oh. And never let someone else setup your precious child. Your computer. It is for your hands only, and your hands alone. Let no one touch your child... yeah...

And who's the maggot who dared talk about Macs? He's gonna die.

Yo!.. :D

Macs rule the graphics industry. No doubt about that.
I'm using a PC all my life and I prefer to do my graphics on Mac. Its like 100x faster to render stuff.

1. Just get a burner, you won't have to worry about a lot of things anymore.
2. Don't use windows 98, it's the worst OS ever invented.

ok, i have a burner AND im not using windows 98..

i shouldnt have to burn my stuff to a cd just because other people think they have the right to mess with my stuff that they know nothing about...

and that 40 megs was an estimate, i was wrong its 200..but i would be pissed if just 1 thing got deleted...its the principle.

i probably will lock the computer after they get theirs hooked up to the internet. but if i do it now my mom will go ape **** on me
