The sex pistols did that on american bandstand in the early 80s, They just wondered around the stage not even pretending to play or sing then johnny rotten brought the audience on the stage.

the main reason people are hounding her for what she did i think is that

a) she blamed her band at the end of the show for screwing up
b) she had recently said this in a recent interview in a magazine:
