Ashlee Simpson had a disaster tonight on SNL where her lip synch vocals for the wrong track started playing during her 2nd song and she was so embarressed and ruined on stage she ran off and SNL cut the video feed. Then at the end of the show, she blamed her band for "playing the wrong song." Hmmmmm..

P.S. The URL has the "f-word" in it, you'll have to copy paste url into the browser and replace those **** with the f-word.

P.P.S. I just found out that there are files in the same directory of a pornographic nature so be forewarned if you decide to start perusing through the directory.

P.P.S.S. It wasn't the wrong song, it was the right song and the right lyrics but the vocals were played at the wrong time.

Anyway I think this is damn funny and I have no remorse for people who get caught cheating

the bad part isn't that she was lip syncing, most artists do that, and a few people have even said that SNL requires it. The really bad, humiliating part is how she handled it by doing that stupid dance and then running off stage. Her band kept it professionally and immediately switched to the other song, to save her ass, and if she had just used the live mic in her hand to start singing she would have been fine. Most people probably wouldn't have noticed, or she could have just laughed it off and moved on. Instead she had to freak out and run away, leaving her band there playing the song, laughing with each other about her running off the stage. Then she has the nerve to blame the band for the mixup, when they were the ones that switched songs immediately to try and save her ass. Pretty freakin' unprofessional of her...

I missed this one, did it air on TV?

I think that's hilarious. I mean, she's not what we'd call a worthwhile performer, so I mean, I don't really think it's a bad thing that she got screwed up on SNL.

I liked the old days when they did snl on a like, $40-an-episode budget, and they didn't have a really plush soundsystem, and the bands had to do a kinda unplugged version, and they couldn't fit all their **** on stage. Plus, I know the studio's like the size of an airplane bathroom, so for the most part, the audience can tell if someone's llip-synching right off the bat.

Anyway, I think it's pretty safe to call Ashley Simpson a definite flash-in-the-pan type of performer.

yeah it aired. after she walked off stage SNL pulled the plug and went to commercial.

on the first song she lip synced really badly. you could tell she was faking it even then.

Personally, If I ever gained any fame playing music, I would flat out refuse to mime to a recording on what was being billed as a live appearance. If that was a condition for appearing, I'd turn it down flat.

You probably wouldn't gain much fame then, U23, 'cause that would keep you out of a lot of big venues...

haha, you could do it the nirvana way, on top of the pops.
They made it so obvious they weren't playing live that it was funny... guys throwing their guitars around their back and catching it, while in a riff, to show it wasn't live.

Top of the pops forced artists to lip sync.
