deker, only two people here would actually know about you in your newbie years. :p

Two? Me and who else? Oh, yeah... pank!
Ah—HEM! Just because we don't have multi-kilopost counts doesn't mean we haven't been around, like, forever.
And correction, U23--I am the one who has attained grilled cheese enlightenment!
If you use only one type of cheese, or if more than one, and one of them is Kraft Velveeta, you are an amateur, and therefore unworthy even of my snooty backhanded dismissal! And if store-bought bread enters the equation, well then sir, I will fart in your zhen-air-rrawhl deer-eccch-shôn! Dilettantes, the lot of you! :D :p :D |
Well, is the misc section a real misc section or not?
Hang around a little bit more and you'll see the nature of our misc posts. Its usually something that can make a good discussion topic, something funny(no, not random jokes..). Interesting news that might get a some discussion going. Misc threads here actually go on topic most of the time. I prefer reading more than posting. How I got those 3k posts, I have no idea. |

Well, I thought my topics were interesting and helpful. I just don't get the misc section. Maybe you should change it to "Some things go, and some things don't" And then make a sticky on what you are aloud to post. |

We're telling you though, that's the reason you were dislked. If you downright refuse to relax on making threads, then we'll be right back where we started.. Nos. |

Your post makes me think you're missing the point. You are trying to come into a community that has been around for years, and without even trying to understand the way things are around here--you're trying to impose your opinions and views on people; and then when people disagree with your way of seeing things, you get argumentative and defensive. Once again... slow down. Spend more time reading than posting. If people disagree with you; maybe once try to restate your view to make your stance clearer--then let it go. move on to another thread. Learn the way things work--and then gradually express yourself more openly. The metaphor of 'a bull in a china shop' comes to mind. <<< This advice will serve you well in any community, job, or organization you ever want to become a part of. We have all kinds of different views here, we're not all carbon copies. But we respect each other and we get along. People have dedicated a lot of energy here trying to reach out to you... are you listening? |
