I hate Bush's regime, and I have several issues with the way this country's foreign policy is being unilaterally shoved down people's throats right now by the richest of the rich
I believe the point (which gguy is admirably trying to sidestep right now) is that Kerry is a richer weenie than Bush. So, why would you rather have a richer weenie shoving HIS foreign policy down your throat. With Kerry in office, don't swallow...

Here's one person's take on Kerry >>> http://www.outdoorsunlimited.net/cgi-bin/news/viewnews.cgi?id=1081453769

As to the fry-guy mentality... I dunno, graphicsguy...

Give me a call, gguy! We'll talk about gambling, hockey, and cat houses!!! I didn't even know Tampa had a hockey team (they don't cover hockey here in Tennessee).

Bush Jr. is not a member of Skull and Bones...nor are Cheney and Rumsfeld. Bush Sr. however, is a member of skull and bones.

You should be worrying more about The Hawks (Cheney/Rumsfeld/et al) than a dried up and dying sub culture of ivy league educational institutions.

My opinion is that it doesn't make a difference. Why? Because there were plenty of other rich boys who's daddies didn't want them to go to Vietnam. Vietnam wasn't going to be a glamarous war and the politicians knew it. It was going to be nothing like WWI or WWII. It was going to be another Korea. Whether you agree with why the wars were faught, you have to respect the men and women who went there voluntarily. You also have to respect the people, like my uncle and father, who didn't have a choice because they were poor, southern farm boys who, like many young men of their time, didn't finish high school and they got drafted.

Infact, there is a guy writting a book about how he dodged the draft and how proud he is to have done it. He also makes himself out to be far braver than anyone who has ever laid it on the line when your friends are being shot to peices and you are wondering if you are next. So yeah, I could care less what bushes military record is...not when the real heros are out there, hiding behind desks.

edit: btw, on the topic of Skull and Bones...You'd be surprised to find Senator John Kerry.

Of course he will, he has his redneck brother already ensuring it, by barring tens of thousands of black voters from legally voting (again).

"...probably smarter than the guy making $50,000/year, correct?"

Incorrect.

oh, come on. I'm not trying to say that every rich person is brilliant, or anything, but you have to give a person credit if his yearly salary is a few million dollars higher than yours. It had to be as a result of cunning, smartness, or strategy as far as economics go... it's not easy to earn that much money. And if you inherited it, it's not exactly a walk in the park to maintain that kind of money, is it?

plus I think that money does corrupt everyone at least to some extent... which is why i agree that if a black mother of four was running, it'd be different.

I just think we need a president that hasn't had a lot of money or power in his life... but not like Jimmy Carter, someone who can do it properly this time. But shamefully that's never gonna happen. Money = power.

At the very least, give him this - if kerry made his money through his marital inheritances, then HOW THE HELL DID HE DO IT? how did he get those rich women to marry him? He uses mile-long sentences, he thinks he's funny when he's not, and god dammit he ain't the prettiest guy to set foot on this planet, is he?

"In my judgment, when the United States says there will be serious consequences, and if there isn't serious consequences, it creates adverse consequences."
