redeye - yes - art is about like or don't like.... but what do you do when it's a bunch of lensflares and a couple of spheres covered in plastic wrap? Is that a personal feeling?
Well they most likely think it is cool looking, so it would be personal feeling wouldnt it?

I'll agree with Fig 100% on this one.

If somebody actually takes the time to give you good solid advice/comments you should take the time to reply back. Disagree or agree with the comments really is not an issue. The fact that somebody takes the time to actually look at your stuff and then try to make you better or help is what the board should be all about. But it's a two way street...

Imo...
When I think of Teamps, I think of a place where people who just started using photoshop comes for advices.
To be honest, when I post my things here it's more just to show what I have done, not to get comments on how to get my things better.
Well I do listen to some of you.
But when I need comments on how to get my work better, there is other more "advanced" forums for that.
When you think back on who has been on this forums..
Take Kid Crackle or Paavo Perkele for example.
They both started out here but has moved on.
I think there are a few other great designers here that could easily do the same thing.
I just like the atmosphere here at this forum, that's why I keep coming back.

This is more a tutorial forum than actual design forum.
Some examples is when someone actually makes something really nice in here.
They get 7 posts form the "old people" where they say what they think about the thing that is being in the thread.
But when someone finds a new tutorial on how to make electric sphere from outspace with some scifi fonts on the side, it gets 20 posts from people asking how it was done and where he could find the tutorial for that one.
And we who have been here for a bit longer time usually don't post much on those.
We've seen it 10000054 times and it's getting a bit boring...but I do understand the newbies that knows that there is a way that they can actually make it themself if they use the tutorial just right.
And that way actually being able to make something cool.

So there is pretty much 2 different kinds of threads and 2 kinds of people here.

I'd say i am in between the two, though. No, i am certainly not a pro, but i am not a tutorial-whore either. I AM pretty noob, i'll admit to that, but that's why i post here, i like showing my work, and if someone offers a helpful critique, i generally will heed their advice.

Like awhile ago, every site i made had ugly iframes in them, and everyone kept hounding me on how ugly they looked, so now i rarely use iframes and think of better ways to lay content out. I also used to spread text out so that the width was far greater than the height. It wasn't until Supah told me that it was difficult to read with those dimensions that i made a change. Now i make sure that the height is greater than the width.

Plus, the atmosphre is awesome :D. It's so laid back, i think it's because we have so many non-U.S. citizens here :D.

damn i guess my response wont be taken into consideration. S ince i was the bad example.

I appreciate everything this place does for me, every person in here, when i started posting everything had critiques about change everything, everyone that gave me critiques made an impact in the way i think. Either it would make me quit, or try to make me think differently, when im not at home i think about the TP friends (or aka's) that give me pointers and im thankful i guess i should post it up instead of just feeling it and knowing it .. .
