I wish I could have a Mac, but since I can't I will just have to settle for raising money for an iPod. Almost forgot, welcome back Mihai. I haven't ever had any problems with my 3 Dells, wierd stuff. :p |

All of my PC's have been named "Piece of ****". That's about as far as I ever went to naming the little bastards. I haven't officially named my Mac yet, though "The Precious" seems pretty appropriate. But yes the naming goes along with that whole "I love my Mac" thing. |

Yeah. I think that if I ever got a G5, it would have to have a good name. A laptop, however would probably be named Eve 4.0, being that this is it's fourth incarnation, though not all of them have been mine. As for iMacs, something short and efficient, like Noah, or Isis. An eMac would be hard to name. It depends upon the user's first impression of it, upon setting it up. A Powermac G4 Tower would have to have some kind of ancient mythological name, given their recent antiquity. Something like Ajax, or Achilles. An iBook would have to have a female name. I dunno why. Some Powerbooks would too. That's why mine was named Eve, although I didn't name it, being that I was not the first owner. Yes, I know, ownership has nothing to do with naming, but Eve just stuck for some reason. A G5 would have to have a rock solid name, something from Celtic or Norse mythology, like Thor, or Odin, or something. Something appropriately badass, as you can imagine. Maybe something also from Japanese history or mythology would work. *Edit* External drives should have cool names too. I think Cyclops is a good one. Some others might be, in keeping with greek mythology, Perseus, Pegasus, Atlas or Cronos would work. |

Ha. From 6 years of Windows use I have not lost a single file that I didn't intend to lose. That's spanning Win95, Win98, and XP. |
