I know - it happened lots of times before to me too - but it's just one more of those things that make you sick and wish you had taken up cooking in school....so that you can change jobs easily.

awe...
Mihai that sounds very familiar.
I was supposed to put in a new hard drive to my computer.
Well my copmuter sucks like SO much...
So when I put it in it destroyed it somehow so I couldn't use it as a master any more.
Well I though I would use my old one then.
But nope some how it didn't work as a master either.
because when I installed the new one it damaged something.
Well I took my third one and I got it to work somehow.
But the only way I could get anything to work would be to format all 3 hard drives...and of course I didn't have any backups on them.
Well i had but they where on the other drives, so it didn't really help me.
Then the other day I bought some more memory.
When I put that in it said it had deleted some of my .sys files and I couldn't get anything working once again.
Well I finally got that fixed.
Now it's working...well working and working...I have to reboot every 9 minute or so...but still.
I should by a new mother board but then I would have to buy a new processor and memory.
...and now that I won't get any money for like a year or so I have decided not to try to fix my computer anymore.
It will only do more damage.

I would really need some more web design jobs but I can't seem to get any.
How the h... do you guys get jobs like all the time?!

hehe, yeah I hate that error too...

you can just end your explorer.exe process, then go to run: and type explorer, I think that works.

rofl @ the fartsong. :D

Sorry to hear about all that crap, mihai.
And as for macintosh being reliable, it is, but not flawless...my girlfriend's bro just got that top-of-the-line laptop, forget its name, anyway...he was chatting with someone on iChat, and *poooofffff* the motherboard fried up. Oh well, new coputer. CHEAP!

And that "another app is using the mofo you're trying to del, so no way" - crap, just keep hitting del until it stops crying about it, seems there's a lag with the file-in-use-stuff sometimes.

thanks for the pat on the shoulder guys

My LC has an old Dell - she never ever had anything to worry about - it runs on XP and she has no problems - ever - she was telling me the other day: "you're doing something to it! That's why it crashes - I never have problems because I'm not fu..ing with it..."
what do you say to that? sheesh!

I know Macs are not flawless - but they sure are stabler....plus they're sexy:D

I hope I broke that badluck streak.... I got a gift today - one of my clients brought me a 80 years old botle of wine:D - I'm getting the LC drunk tonight...getting some I hope:D:D..I only hope it's not turned to vinegar - that would be the cherry on top hah

A fried motherboard has nothing to do with a computer being stable or not. It's just a manufacturing defect. Just like some toasters don't work right out of the box if something is defective in it...

Yeah, but I think you can agree that when a technological catastrophe occurs on ones personal computer, having to deal with windows in order to fix the problem does not help soften the blow.

Also...

Is it just a mac thing to name technology? I've helped my friends name al of their macs, and mine was named Eve. Some of them named theirs things like Vladimir, Artemis, and Gabriel. It just doesn't seem the same to name a PC. I dunno why. PC's seem to be more suited to numerical names, like LG-C1449, or something. Whereas macs can have names like Zeus, or something.
