Once you go mac you never go back. I also was once a "gamer". I have my amd for that. Windows has gotten old for me. I needed an adventure something to bring back that feeling of learning something new on the computer I once had with my other computer. I got an ibook Never been happier, true about processor not the fastest but I'll tell you this its about stability. Looking down now I have 9 programs running the main ones would be photoshop, illustrator, Word, Safari, and Flash.. Most of those have been left running while I took a break working on a design. As of right now my ibook has and uptime of 3 weeks. When ever I go somewhere I just close it and it goes into sleepmode, Ive been told it can sleep for 2 weeks on a charge. Well thats what I have to say.

My name is Michael Pierce and I am a student.

But anyway, like others have said, it still runs Windows, no matter how fast you can move a card in solitaire

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA Ha ha ha ha ahhhh...wow...

That was seriously, one of the funniest things I've read on this forum in a long time.

"I bought it with my allowance"
Yeah, seriously, when will a PC company sell computers to the mature computer user, be they 18 or 50. I know alienwares makes some powerful machines, but I dont' want an alienwares system just because it's an alienwares system. It's a giant freakin' toy. Furthermore, and once again reiterating that my problem is not with the hardware, but wuth the OS, alienwares are PC's. That's reason enough for me not to buy them.

Um, yes you can. And their graphics capabilities are prime for running any game. Also, there are tons of companies making games for mac. Most popular titles are realizing that they have to make Mac versions of their most popular games. Also, there are Windows emulators for mac, which allow you to play whatever the hell you want, including solitaire.

Here's a quote from someone that just got one of the new Dual G5's:

" Now, once done, I decided to push my poor computer a little bit. One of the things I know not to do, at least in the past, is run iTunes, a web browser, email, iChat and Yahoo messenger in the background while playing full screen Quake III if I expect to get any good performance. Breaking all the rules, I setup a playlist in iTunes and got started playing Quake III. While I was kicking some serious ass with my missiles I was listening to my favorite tracks. My audible alerts were going off in the background as my rules sifted through incoming mail, playing the appropriate sound based on the email incoming. I was able to fully be aware of mail coming from osxworld, kenstone's site and the dvd forum I moderate for Café LA. I even forgot to turn off Quicktime, Photoshop, and GoLive, but that didn't bother Quake at all."

Now if that isn't a gaming machine, I sure as hell don't know what one is. (Yes, selection is still small compared to PC, but do you really play every single game that comes out on a PC, or just the good ones, that are also ported to Mac?)

Yikes...

That was...wow...

Yeah, I was thinking of going there, but then you did it for me.

Yeah, but seiously, is having a computer, that you say is the absolute sh*t, and is just for games, then it looks like you're a f*cking jackass for keeping that, and asking other people for money. Furthermore, a computer is not a necessity

For those of you that don't know what all this is about, then read this.

*Edit* NM, I guess the link is gone from that thread.
