Eastern NY calls everything by name, coke sprite pepsi slice dr. pepper. If you say "pop" you'd get dirty looks or laughed out of the city border.

With what moochan said goes for New Jersey too, except depending on where you are in New York you have to be specific of your type of 'coke'. :p Not really, it is a bad sterotype. You gotta go to specific allies and streets for that junk.

That is Sooooo true. Although monroe county should be in dark blue, I think. Everyone I know says 'pop'. VEEEERY rarely will you hear someone ask for a soda.

Now here's one for you...

Has anyone ever had a WHITE hot dog?

How about a garbage plate?

Well, when I go to food places, I rarely ask for anything besides cola flavoured soda. So I usually ask for coke. Not that I nescessarily want Coke, but I just want coke flavour. Sometimes when I say, "I'll have a coke" the staff person will be like "Um is pepsi ok?" and i'm thinking "DUH" lol.

Those "vanilla" and "cherry" flavored drinks that you buy suck. If I want real vanilla coke, or real cherry coke, I'll add either vanilla or cherry syrup to my regular coke.

So, meh, I'm not even going to try "Vanilla" Pepsi.

I thought Vanilla Pepsi was about 1/2 as good as Vanilla Coke. It wasn't as "vanilla-y" as Vanilla Coke...too much Pepsi, not enough vanilla. Hmm, vanilla is a funny-looking word.

I want a pina-colada Coke. Vanilla is ok, but too damn plain.
