WE WON THE WAR ON IRAQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what did we win,?????? ill tell you what we got the sole resposability of reuilding what we destroyed....are you serious we won?? I feel bad for our soldiers fighting for this moron you call president, trusty me i know a war and is not preatty, we lost more lives in iraq after "major operations are over" speech than in the whole Gulf War. Bush has done a good job??? are you crazy a good job at what??? if it wasent for 911 ? what would his record show???? NOTHING HE HAS DONE NOTHING FOR THE U.S.A. NOTHING. ut sending inocent soldiers to die for HIS OWN personal cause. Did you all know that vice presidents chenny's constroctuion company "WON" the bid for the iraq's reconstroctiom contract???? guess whos a lot richer now. Did you know that the british and us have sole controll and "legal" power to controoll all revenues from iraq's oil???? I remmember bush sayingh he did not want anything to do with the oil.....how can anyone agree withthis guy,, the only thing he has done are the tax cuts,, big deal noone making under 45,000 a year will get it, what a joke 300 dollars and they expect that to make me spend more on the economy, please people Have to start asking questions readung other sources or information other that "stream" media. even tv is gov. controlled to some extent all you have to do is get satelite and turn to the BBBC for example and see how the us media tells half truths all the time. |

lol @ dream ranting. :D It's true tho, I don't think the american public really grasps the huge amounts of dollars that went / are going into this 'war'. And I also encourage people to at least log onto www.bbcnews.com once in a while if you can't get it on your TV sets. I've also noticed how CNN looks like a wrestling show compared. Not saying BBC is the absolute truth but it sure as hell is alot less biased. |

War in Iraq was about saving people. Not seeing how many bombs we could drop.

Well, even though I didn't read through the WHOLE thread... I'll post something: Here's another question I would like George Dubuya hear answer: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? |

I've stayed out of this until now, but I've heard some really ignorant things being said here: ========================== The BBC is not any less biased than CNN is. The bias is just on the other side, the side that you agree with Paavo, so it makes CNN seem much worse. You want to see biased news: (http://www.npr.org). OK, now I'll start in on dreamdesign. Before you go talking politics, start with a spell-checker, it makes you seem much more intellectual. Those countries have free health care, and also pay much larger, MUCH larger taxes. Look at Canada. Canada has a large amount of government programs. But Canada's income tax is much higher than that of the United States for my salary base, I'm not 100% sure about other salary ranges. Democrats preach and preach about wanting more government programs, but they will also raise taxes every chance they get to pay for them. If Democrats were to rule for 100 years, I guarantee you would be paying in 75% of your income in taxes by the time all was said and done. But in this time, we'd have a government-funded program for every group/minority you could imagine. This is why the Democrats made such a big deal about Bush's tax cuts / refunds, because it meant that they would be getting less money for their worthless programs (i.e. Welfare). I don't care about the homeless in New York. I'm a firm believer in the "get-a-job" movement. I don't care who you are, I don't care what you are, you CAN get a job. McDonalds will hire anybody, I know, I worked there for 4 years in High School and College. And about Social Security...don't rely on it, it's a dying program. I want my money that I've put into it, because I guarantee it won't be there when I'm at retirement age. Invest your money in worthwhile assests, don't put it into a savings account that pays to your grandpa. I'm harsh, but I'm a realist. I realize I'm jumping around a bit here, but I'll continue. If I had a say in it, I'd cancel Welfare with one quick swipe of my pen. Welfare is more often abused than it is used. I've seen it time and time again. I see the people who get a job at McDonalds only working 5 hours a week, simply to keep their social worker at bay, but not enough that their welfare check will get any smaller. One woman even had a baby JUST so she could get more money from welfare. I don't care what the left says, she is the norm in welfare, she is not the exception. There are certain programs, like HUD and WIC that are worthwhile, and actually serve a worthwhile purpose. The old addage sticks again, "get a job". |

i'd pay a larger portion of my flipping money if i could go to the doctor every once in a while without ending up in debt...only america would have you ending up paying 75% of your check to support a system such as that....
