New Apple Stuff

They did release new iPods today though. And new iTunes. And an online music store.

Have you downloaded any songs from the new Music store yet? You should rip a cd with the new AAC if you don't want to download one, and see if it sounds any better than MP3 like they say it does.

The new iPods are nice too. Line out so you can hook it directly into your stereo. Docking station, backlit buttons, USB 2.0 for windows users...

Then with iTunes you can now backup your music collection onto DVD, share your music collection over a network via Rendezvous, and of course download and play songs from the apple music store with one click. Burn them onto as many cd's as you want. And put it on your iPod. Neato.

all they need now is osx for x86 processors

i dont really like the look of the 4 buttons on the ipod, i liked the single main one on the old model.

I kinda like the old design too. But now they are all non-moving touch sensitive buttons, which is probably better for durabiliy and so forth.

DAMN! The store is only available to US citizens...that's a load of crap! I'd really be interested, you can buy 1 song for ¢99 (which i personally think is a bit expensive, being a student) but the whole album is ?2.79! How cool is that? It'll be worldwide soon. I'm backing my songs on a DVD now :D Have to use the ACC yet, i'll let your know how that is. It seems to me that it's the new mp3.
