Hahahah. malibu got shut down.

there are some tutorials on the fruity loops web site... http://www.fruityloops.com/English/frames.html

as for learning about music, there is lots of info online about it... http://www.hoerl.com/Music/music1_basic.html

or you could take a class in music theory or something at your local college if you really want to learn.

I've got a better idea. Quit using a program called "Fruity Loops". Sounds like a San Franciscan breakfast treat.

Try a demo, or even the free version of Acid Music (http://www.sonicfoundry.com).

Dude, really just calm down, you asked for help, he suggested a program that he is familiar with, maybe so he can help with, also he expressed his opinion. This is an open forum afterall.

And it does sound like a San Franciscan breakfast treat.

I feel that my post was worth saying. I checked out their web site, I checked out the tutorials that they offer, which were far from thorough. Acid Music is arguably a far superior product even going by the user base.

For God's sake, I can't even find how to get tech support because:

This forum is (temporarily) unavailable.

Nice.

With Sonic Foundry I get phone support. It looks like I can call these German "Fruity Loops" people, but I'm guessing it's going to cost me about $40 to get ahold of anyone. Fruity Loops has a phone number on their main page, but they don't say what it's for.

I didn't figure I'd have to go into specific details and tell you why Acid Music is better then Fruity Loops. I would assume the name would tell you in itself, and that you might even look into an alternative product. Obviously you didn't, because then I wouldn't have had to post what I did.

Fine, get super-defensive. I actually enjoyed your outburst. You must own stock in Fruity Loops, or have a brother that works for them or something...hard to imagine anyone but a ritalin kid would get so over-excited about a simple suggestion.

Yes.

Like Fruity Loops it is a music creation software, based on bringing in and editing loops:
