To comment on the forum convo. I am a newbie to design in 3d. but my software is not pirated. A former company that i worked for designing sites offered to give me copies of the software to place on my pcs at home so i can work from home on some days without missing a beat. I never used maya and took it for granted. As well as the 3d concepting when it came to design. So in turn the software IS and WAS purchased by the company so why not allow their employees to reap the benifits from them spending the 25k on it. I am sure one site i designed for a client made that back easily. But back to the "ACTUAL FORUM POINT" where and whas the best 3d program to learn? www.n-designz.net |

Well I really like cinema 4d xl 7, its nice and easy (for a 3d program) but still delivers great results. I don't think there is a "best" 3d program for learning but I belive the best 3d program TO learn would be Maya. JMO

Actually, if you copy most software (I kow Adobe adn Maxon are included) onto more than one machine, that is also illegal. You must have 5 copies of PS 6 for 5 seperate machines. So what you're doing is also illegal, but it's not really as harmful as piracy.
