I am very new to the 3d image creation game. I was wondering if there were any suggestions on what 3d programs i should get involved with? Mainly with vector graphics and wire-framing. All suggestions are welcomed. If you want i can show u what kind of work i'm trying to create. Feel free to email me. Thanks Guys!

Erm, if you're a newbie, you shouldn't buy Maya! If it's vector 3D for flash and stuff like that, or perhaps for some logo work, i'd say the cheapest and best in the field would be swift3d.

Duo Flip, I gave up with that 'where did you get that money' approach. They don't ever have the money, well very rarely. Maya for christs's sake is the most expensive 3D software around (this is before the dramatic price cut)

IMO, people who actually buy these programs already know how to use them. Who would spend a BOMB on something that don't know how to use.

gotta agree with you two on this. The majoriy of newbie questions we get on here just reinforce the fact that they clearly didn't buy the software, because many of the answers can be found right im the manual.

I guess i'll just turn a blind eye on that sort of thing and let it go, nothing i say is going to stop it. Lots of these designers have talent but i guess not enough money.

I'm sure over 500 of the members on here do not have legal software. JMO

True, they are very expensive, but they are worth every penny. 3D programs are probably the most difficlut programs to create. This is why alias|wavefront have released 'learning edition' and Maxon have released a full working demo, except for the rendered, they stick a logo across it.
