i ment pop-up while clicking to enter the site
your main site opens in different window
i personally don't like those target="_new"
ort whatever in links.

And text..use simple css...
the whole teamforum is made with it and site as well

You need define it in your

This is the simpliest and as example
when you want work with text
you just write
Your text

same way you define backgrounds, links, paragraphs and much much more..even fixed table positioning...
everything can be defined

well i am not certified designer and my oppinion of corse is not final...
i just don't feel this is right way the net should look like...
may be try make it more complex...like slope may be (manually cut the edges) or another way of fading..
looks very very simple to me at least..
channels, net, fill pattern, feather...

Well I considered removing it totally, but I don't have time to do it now.

Do you have ICQ?....that would make this much easier.

If so: Me=36502198

You use window.open javascript
that what i ment as pop-up in different window...
pop-ups only usefull when you open outside links...but inside of the site imho everything should be in one window..especially at design sites..when surfing should be friendly..

**** seems it didn't work my explanation about css
it just eats all html codes...

html code is on so i dunno how to show it...
check out even in forum (view source)
see something in head part defined as style
and then look for same styles definitions in body part

IT IS TOO SIMPLE DO SOMETHING TO IT!! I feel that simple is good but too simple sux! it is way to basic! you need to learn how to make good graphics!! you know that keep it simple saying only means the HTML but for the graphics GO CRAZY! I like simple stuff as much as the next guy but for graphics that is justs crazy

here are a few things i noticed...

-i don't understand why this is classified as high bandwidth, if it was built right then it would not be high bandwidth

-the images that make up the menu on the left should gifs...they are flat colors...perfect for gifs...as jpgs they are really blurry

-the changing text in the center fo the screen should be gifs as well for the same reason

-the colors are too dull. that dark blue on dark gray is a bad combo.

-the impact font is fairly common, i would something more interesting.

-the menu on the left is really self explainatory and i don't think the changing text in the center is necessary, plus its not very effective.

-don't take away the menus, address bar, and navigation buttons. it's annoying. you are denying the user the familiar tools they need to navigate the web...most importantly the back button.

-nothing on the home page tells me where i am, why i am here, and why i should care

-simple or not, i think this site is ineffective and hard to navigate.
