Your sig isn't too bad maybe get rid of some of the bold text, there's a little too much for my taste but that's me. Now that you have Photoshop, go through some of the tutorials on this site so you can get better acquainted with it. |

You've got a good start on it, just keep playing around and you will get something you like.

good use of the carbon texture tutorial from thewebmachine...haha just playing, i know youre new to this. right now im new to flash so i know the newbie feeling. just sit down when you have lots of time on your hands, and just draw shapes and click on every single option from the top menu in photoshop (file, edit, view, selection...). if you click on every option in the above menu in photoshop and play around, youll understand things much better. thats what i did.

i forgot to add...by doing that, youll just stumble onto cool effects you can use. youll click on something and play with it and youll look at what it did and be like "wow, so thats how you do that"

also do every tutorial you can find. Even the ones that don't look to interesting because every tutorial has something to teach you about parts of photoshop that you can use in a very fun way. For instance: i used to never do any layer tutorials because they looked boring. I eventually did a few and now i have about 100 more things to do with pictures
