Wow, great replys everyone, but im only gonna reply to my friend the4man for obvious reasons. I am at a crossroad right now. I need to register a business name and it should be soon. Since I was a youngster I have been working on a name but its tough tough tough. So the reason for the "d" is because of my last name, Dee. The page you saw earlier was a possible splash page I made for a site. The idea was that little shadow people were gonna be in random places each time the page loads. But I never explained that before. Now, my problem is I am torn between using "dee" or "d". I realize that it is much more obvious to use "dee" because it would tie in easier for people. But I am not convinced I want this. All my "possible" names have been your stereotypical names ie: Spectra Graph-X, Spectrum Designs etc... So I have decided that I wanted to use my unique last name as my logo, name etc... I am nearly convinced that with time, people will come to recognize the letter "d" with myself. At least the people I deal with. So I guess I am trying to bend the rules of logo's. It is not entirely clear the first time, but I am hoping I can work the logo till it becomes striking enough that it holds its own. As for the clarity of the "d". I think it is something I should work on. And I clearly understand your points. It took me long enough to get to that heh. Anyways there are other elements that I missed in explaining but they arent too relevant to get into detail at this time. This reply screen is too small, I hope this made some sense. I also appreciate your critique, I might go out on a limb and ask if your my teacher in disguise. heh. Thanks |

I think it looks good.. i didnt have to much trouble finding the "d" in the image... i think it would make a good logo... mostly because its simple/small and easy for the client/user to understand the purpose of it... nice work...
