haha its a "d".. and no your not dumb. And if there is a confusion in the letter, then the logo has a problem.

ahhh i see the d now, yeah that is kinda hard to make out... i think if you would put a small serif at the bottom of the d, it might seem a bit more like a d

I like the logo. I had no probelms figuring that it was a d (but then again, im smart as hell... hehe j/k). The logo is very clean wich i like, often you see logos that are way to "flashy" and therefor arent useable at anything then on a web page. Well done!!! |

I really like the style and simplicity of it. Passes the letterhead/fax/golf-shirt test. But I didn't immediately get that it was a *d* and here's why... When I see the logo, my eye is first drawn to the *d* because it's so prominent and dominant but it appears to be a symbol or icon more than a letter becasue it's so stylistic. So I then read the name to get more information... "graphic solutions". Then my eye wanders back to the symbol. What is it? It could actually pass for an upside down *g* which relates well to the name "graphic solutions". Then my mind ponders if it could also be some sort of drawing device relating to the name- I don't know why, but a pen and quill comes to mind, eventhough that's a very far-fetched theory. But a *d* never actually crosses my mind because it doesn't relate to the name. Unless of course *d* IS part of the name...?! I don't recall, Spectra, if dee design was your graphic you showed us a couple of weeks ago? With the little guy on the end casting the long shadow? If that's the case, then you really need the name in full... dee graphic solutions, that way there is a correlation between the name and the stylistic *d* used as an icon/symbol for "dee". I like it, but I'm not sure that the general public will get it and that's not a good thing. With "dee" attatched to the front, it becomes clear, intelligent and very effective as a logo. Just my opinion... |
