Newbie at this...first pic ever taken lol be afraid

Hey everybody, i used to post here a looooong time ago with new websites and stuff no one here probly remembers me my name was GfxGuru or Krazy or something i dont remember but im getting back into design and i decided to start taken some pictures, i took this one today and i dunno if its good or not by peoples standereds because i really have no clue on taking good pictures (im 13, lol) but i gave it a shot, heres the link:

It's a picture of the volume control on my altec lansing's...i had nothing else really to take pictures of at the moment...critiqueing is welcome

yes it is, i dunno i've seen pictures like this where they are real up close like, and well i dunno i gave it a shot with the focus on the power button and stuff

btw they are the altec lansing 2100 series

uhh what camera are you using, you might want to try using macro moe to avoid the softness. The bottom right corener is overexposed and quite distracting. Maybe try a different light source or angle

I am using a nikon coolpix 950, the thing is, im not quite sure what modes and things to use when it comes to certain types of picturetaking, the other thing is, im not sure if there are the features on my camera to do these types of things, so, who knows, sorry if im waisting ur guys' time, i know im a real newbie at this
