I guess I'm just tired of that style.

It looks good and all, but I just don't get "wowed" by the whole "carbonfour'ish" stuff like that anymore. I like something that makes me say... "Damn... good idea."

Ran across something just like that last night.
I'm not looking to post-jack you, just wanted to give you a little nudge away from that stuff that has been coined "trendy".

If you use netscape you're screwed though. Its a big gripe I have about this site.

I think scanned stuff and typewriter fonts will be the next trend.

Oh, and why do you have a tiny version of a chapter3 wallpaper in your wallpaper? That isn't cool.

I think everything under the sun has been done already. At least so far as being projected from a 2D space like a monitor.

About the only thing you can do now is increase interactivity in design.

For what I just saw, it looks good. Continue to improve and move beyond what you usually see on the 'net in terms of artsy design work. Although that is hard to do. I've tried myself and can't exactly do it.

you are probably talking about the samll one since it's the only image i didn't do.

I saw it in my files, thought it's nice, i minimized it, made it a bit transparent and put it in.

probably it was saved in the system by my brother, we also have some stock images saved, i thought it was a stock image.

trends:trendy... thanks either way. at least you visited. oh, and by the way, i'm not a web designer. and i don't use netscape. so could care less how it works in that browser. someday i'll fix it. but right now, i would rather just play and do what i love. i make print! print is fun. fun print fun...

in reguards to trend. just do what you love, and have fun. if someone doesn't like it, ..big deal. not everyone loves picasso, but he still a great artist. trend is simple. design for yourself. design isn't a job, it's a desire. from there, all will fall into place and you'll be the 'trend' setter.

Uhm... i think Tornupinside was using your site as an example of a site that isn't trendy... because it doesn't have a bunch of crystals and tiny unreadable text on it.... ....

I don't think you can refer trendy as a style..

Trendy is following the mass, and it's not always a good thing. Eg. when a certain style of clodes is in and someone from your class buys a very trendy sweater, would you buy the same one. No because he/she will tackle you, spit on you and kick you in the face. In stead of buying the same thing you'll buy something slightly different, and people will love you and you'll be popular and they'll carry you on their hands, throw kisses and more.

So my point is.. uuumh
Trendy is just something that everyone does, everyone loves, everyone thinks looks pretty. And it's always changing (look at the black on white logo's you see everywhere now).
