I worked on an image hehe. http://www.activemadness.com/art/nightcolor4.jpg sort of chessed it. finished coloring in the little parts, edited the top a bit, through in a background. Smoothed some areas out a bit. |

Thanks! Yah i recently got one, bought it for myself for X-mas Just a cheap Wacom, but i like it. It makes thing easier but i can do just as well w/o one. Alot of people don't even try to color because they think they need a tablet, bah on them. Tablets just make it easier, and makes more detail and precision possible, but not all colored images that look sorta spiffy were made with pen tablets. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation.php?id=37989 Colored with a mouse. |

Nono i didn't draw it. I can't draw at all. Not even stick figures. My 8 year old cousin draws better than me. lol (edit) heh duh you meant the butterfly-wing girl. It was KPT6 i believe. Not sure i didn't reinstall any of the filters when i got my new comp. I didn't have a background to throw on there so i just used a filter to create a quick one. It worked, even if looks a bit lame. |

Well still keeping up Heres night5: http://www.activemadness.com/art/night05.jpg Sorta happy with it. I really had other ideas about the hair, but the orignal image is so small (actual size) Bah. I know theres a way to vectorize line-art and resize it bigger. Anyone know anything of that technique? |

Hey, I tried coloring in the pic you posted, it was my first attempt at coloring, so I'm fairly happy with it, considering. You do an amazing job, and I would like to start playing around with this sort of stuff. Tell me what you think (I know the lighting is really crappy, if even visible.. lol But bear with me.. lol http://www.geocities.com/lovablelemon606/girl.html |

You have to work with shadows and highligths (burn and dodge). It's darker under the eyebrow and eye, under and next the nose, cheak have highlights, side of head and under hair are darker to. the neckpart right under the chin etc. Good job on hair, smoke, reflection, color combinations. |

Nice job dpq, here was my first attempt at coloring (lineart from polykarbon) it was done a while ago, my first and only attempt, not sure why I didn't color anything else or draw somethin... http://liquid2k.com/knight/poly2gunlinecolor.jpg a war sounds like a good idea, anyone wanna run with it? jus pick a lineart? posting it here since it was mentioned but if someone agrees then we can take it over to the pixel war section, lemme know, as long as its not vida I'll agree (he's a bit outta my league, okay maybe more than a bit, plus he's not using someone elses lineart :D), seen the stuff that guy comes up with ? amazing... |
