I don't see how my reply can be seen as pathetic just because I hold a different view to your own and have expressed that view.

Not that it matters I live in UK and I can assure you that I hold no repression over naked women or indeed pornography.

My problem with your flyers use of nipples was one of context, I thought I made that clear in my subsequent posts, I even clarified my view in my last post. My question is I suppose, how do you justify the use of your subject matter when you are advertising a mixed sex event? How did you come about the final choice of subject?

Finally you asked for opinions in your original post, I freely took you up on that offer, I hardly see a need for you to get so antsy about it. I can assure you that at thritysomething my life experiences have encompassed a pretty wide spectrum of activities, I am not a prude nor am I po-faced.

First of all Hermit, really, don't feel offended at all man, nothing personal going on here

2nd, maybe you are right, pethatic is not the word I should have used, more like "a little bit overreacting", it's just a nipple. I'm not english see, don't want to use it as an excuse, but I don't always pick my words carefully.

I am not looking to start a fight or big arguement here. I respect your opinion as you respect mine, I'll re-read my post before posting next time. I was just laughing over the whole Janet Jackson thing again, wich I also used to call pathetic, but I guess I mean over-reacted there too. @thehermit: I realy can't understand your reaction on such an harmless flyer! Its defenetly an overreaction and hard to understand! I get the impession that you live in an complete different world(but it's not mine/generation conflict?/how old are you?)!!What do you anticipate from an flyer which has the funktion to entice as much people as possible! It shoult express fun and party and I hope it fulfills this expectations!! Sorry if this flyer offended you or doesn't fit to your picture of equality but there are flyers, which not show only a nippel but.......
I think we should stop this argue and concentrate on the flyer and if its appealing!

About the image, it's really nice graphically wise but I do agree that I don't understand why there is a naked girl on there, sex sells is a silly arguement unless you are trying to pimp out hookers or selling sex dolls.

It's a flyer for a party... nothing more.
I'm not offended by it, hell... i'm from holland... land without rules (;))... It's just that I don't see a need for a half naked girl there. It's more like, you used it because you could. It's not making the image any better, thats all I mean.

Once again I am not offended per se by it, just that it makes little sense and I wonder at the logic behind that marketing decision, I just thought that it was misplaced rather than wrong. Horses for courses as it were, it just seems that you have included it "for the boys" rather than taken a considered design decision.

As you say, I have no wish to make this personal or to hijack your thread for critiques, I don't deny your strategy may be sound.
