I was contacted by a company called Payko and you can view their current site at www.payko.com. They work with PayPal to send money orders with PayPal accounts.

Anyhow, they asked if I could do some layouts and I created three which are not complete. They still need the footers and more to the body part, but this will give you an idea of where it's headed.

They (Payko) will be reviewing them tomorrow, but I thought I'd ask you all what you thought.

You can view the layouts here:

Thanks for your time.

Cheers!

#2 is the best, then maybe #1. #3 just sucks (the colors I mean).

It would be easier to judge without all those distracting watermarks and maybe some dummy text.

1, 2, 3. 3's colors are pretty "horendous" (Simon from American Idol)

Thanks for the feedback guys...Tele, thanks for the link, I appreciate it, and I know the watermarks are annoying, but really, I have my doubts with the person I'm dealing with until payment is made in full, not only a portion.

But thanks for the input, I'd like to hear more.

Cheers!

I actually prefer #3, hehe...But #1 is also ok, a bit to "common", perhaps for my taste.

And I agree with Tele, put up some dummie stuff on it, it's always easier to form an opinion when having something to click at, hehe...

Patric.

#2! They're all pretty nice, but this one stands out as better to me.

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't heard from the site I did this for yet, as they are reviewing them still.

Patteman, I know number 1 looks a bit common, but they did want to stay close to the color scheme they already have, but wanted to experiment a bit, so that's why I did other colors.

But thank you all again.

Cheers!

#1 = Most Proffessional
#2 = Most Stylish
#3 = Most Uplifting/playful

I like all 3 actually. #1 I like the best. More common? Yes....but #2 is the most trendy/popular at the moment....so common may not be that bad. #3 would look fine without the huge gray Nav (it doesnt fit well with the color scheme or shape of the site..ie get rid of the lower shadow and make it 2D). Also i really the like white on orange text in #3. Perfect contrast/attention getter.

I liked three as well, the colors didn't bother me at all. It does feel uplifting, I really didn't like the large pattern on the header though. All of them in general were pretty good. A few changes here and there, but I guess it is up to the company now.

Have you heard from them yet?

Rodder and Mara, thanks for your input. Your comments are appreciated, it's great to hear them more in depth.

Rodder, I know what you mean about the nav bar, after looking it over, I think a different one would be better, so I'm going to clean it up. I like the descriptive words you used as uplifting/playful, I hadn't looked at it that way really...but ya know, it does seem like that now...good eye. Mara, I hear you on the header, I know it can use some work, but I haven't heard from these people yet :(

I think I'm going to call them first thing Monday morning to see what the deal is, but basically I've been emailing back and forth with one of their reps who contacted me. So I think I need to talk to them now.

We'll just wait to see what their thoughts are and then revise and polish from there. Thank you once again for your comments tho' they've been a big help to give me a better eye for these samples.

Have a great one....cheers!
