Light Saber

I made a light saber in photoshop. The thing is, I have never seen a star wars movie in my life so I just did a light saber from my mind on what I thought one would look like. This was made in photoshop and I didn't use any tutorials on it. Anyway, tell me if it resembles a "real" light saber at all.

Considering you've never seen a SW film (but have you seen images of Jedi?), that's a good guess.

The blade is pretty much the same actually, the handle has the basic idea. Each lightsaber hilt was different. However they were all narrow and long.

I'm assuming that means it sucks? Anyway, I'm not going to watch any star wars movies. I have seen like 10 mins of one and I couldn't stand it. I don't know why.

No, the lightsaber is good. :D I was joking around saying that you should see the movies. they're classics.

Dude, the Star Wars films (the classic trilogy that is) don't get so much hype for nothing. Though I enjoy the Prequels, they have something missing from the originals (such as, a character driven story, more than visual).

Go to a blockbuster, or some other movie rental store. Pick up A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. A New Hope is "ok", but it's important you watch it, to understand the story.

Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are much better. ESB is thee most favorite SW film amongst most fans.

Do you think the lightsaber is real enough to make a tutorial out of? I know I know, they're lightsabe tuts already out there but I'm looking into putting more tutorials on my site.

The blade is good.

You'll just have to work on the saber hilt more though. It looks too fake.

Ok, I'll see what I can do. I'm not sure how to make a handle for a lightsaber but I'll try.
