Hm... to tell the truth I actually like the old one a bit better myself, the second one almost seems too round, but again, just my humble opinion . Go with what you like, I still like the second image too, I think it looks great, I just personally like the feel of the first one... Thanks for the quick bit on watermarking . |

i think i prefer the first one too. i think you need the shading and depth you got on the cheeks on the first, all round the face. plus are you going for a REAL person anatomy? if so get sum books cuz that aint ne where near :p good. but not near it's the bits of nurse in me (mum) that tell me its wrong. main things, lips shunt b there, nose-cartilage at the front (non-existant at that level) bone at the back (try feelin ur nose) plus the top colour of those nose is pretty good if u used it on the forehead and top of head and back of head. there's two symetrical muscles running diagonally (out to point to nose) running across eyebrows. the rest is bone. if you did that it'd look awsome :D does anyway :D:D:D gd job!! |

yeah - the second one is much much better - by several orders of magnitude... uhh - yeah - one thing though - if your guy is human - the jaw bone should curve up towards the ear not down from it and the gonial angle should be a little steeper - check this out to see what I mean. all in all, I think this is going to be a great pic...great work man |

Updated again: Face Update #3 - 3 img's ~150k Newest on bottom More shading/contrast...added colors(purple/blue/green/3 different reds/orange) and about 5 layers of highlights. Added more texture (black lines...white lines...yellow lines). I also blurred some features to smooth it out. Yeah i agree. I like the color/shading of the first image...but i dont like the actual shape of the the muscles. No..not really. My ideas are based on real anatomy : One of my Reference Pics....but other than a basic face structure...im elaborating on everything. I want the face real enough so when someone sees it they're like "hey...thats a face with exposed muscle"....but other than that...i dont care if its real or not. Thnx for all the input!! Now the real hard part is next....tweaking the face so it looks as good as possible....and painting the skin hanging on the wall. |

Thnx Biz. Update #238 lol - Just cleaning up the face...smoothing out the shading..refining the colors....giving it a rubbery/wet look. - Concept sketch of loose skin (i have no idea how to make hanging skin.....i guess just wrinkle it like i did). One problem im having is the actual composition. Right now i got a makeshift pole.....kinda like a towel rack the the skin is hanging on. But it just doesnt look "great". Maybe i could make a hanger....or a closepin or something. Also whatever is there doesnt look that great on black (even though the black looks great against the face...) so i kinda screwed myself a little. Anyway....here is a loose conept. Any ideas are welcome. I kinda just want to finish it already...its taking too long! Update #238 |

Man that was smart made, the face placed in the BG. heh nice man, Looks great, really great. remainds me of some Leonard da Vinci art, when he rips a man apart to see whats inside. Some suggestions: you could trie to add more details to the pan, looks to blured out and theres nothing there except for color blendings, add more "details"?. The vain things (looks like vains in white) you have in the first are awsome, why not try to add some in in the 3rd picture? Nice work m8. Keep going, this could turn out to be a master piece, if it isn´t already? |

hey rodder - I just got an idea - why not make one of the masks - black - one white -one chinese...you could turn it into a "no racism" statement. kinda like "we're all the same beneath the skin..." or something

thats actually not a bad idea. I would need more room for the masks....so maybe i could paint a dresser in the background and have the masks on top of it or something similar. "add more details" I agree. Ive been searching threw medical pics...so i can try to re-create the texture...but the search isnt going far |

I was just messing around and came up with this "art gallery" idea. I gotta have something thats the same level as the head...and looks like it belongs there. This way i could put the faces on the wall....and have it look normal. Also i like the gray color against red! (black just isnt working). I dont know how i would paint picture frames (gold or wood...) but it doesnt seem like a bad idea. http://www.geocities.com/t_bucket454/face.html |
