So many answers and so much complication:rolleyes: use a combination of 2 selections and intersect. Thank me later
ok I must be feeling charitable today;) draw an elliptical marquee that is longer vertically, then change the selection to intersect and draw another elliptical marquee horizontally - et voila!:D
