You DO NOT HAVE TO USE IT...

its not a matter of wanting to use it or not- its an impulse, we cant help it.

I'm deleting the post I made here, because I was being over-sensitive and I overreacted to a reply. Sorry if I upset anyone. I guess I'm just a bit defensive because of the things I have encountered on so many message boards. My sincere apologies!

I have discovered that if you press the space bar then spin the mouse-wheel in PS6, it will scroll like it does in 5.5. You can even let the spacerbar go and it will continue to work in the scroll manner. I don't know if this is specific to my mouse or not (Logitech cordless optical wheelmouse). Oh well, just in case anyone cared

hmm let me try that

nope didnt work for me (although holding space and dragging the canvas did..)

plus i would never remember to hit space anyway. i think it should be the other way around. hold space and scroll to zoom.
