I recently upgraded from PS 5.5 to 6 and I do not like the fact that my mouse scroll wheel zooms my image in and out. This is frustrating me to the point of not using 6 and going back to 5.5. Does anyone know of a workaround? Thank you very much for your help! |

Dude, its a very fast shortcut, why would you want to disable it?

I like using my wheel mouse to scroll up and down my image while I am zoomed in. CTRL+ and CTRL- works great for me in 5.5. I zoom in to where I want to be, then I use my wheel to scroll up and down the image. It drives me crazy that it's so easy to accidentally zoom in and out on the image in PS6. Regardless, it's a matter of preference. I don't like the feature, and I'm searching for a way to disable it. Thanks. |

I guess I can see your problem... I just prefer to zoom out, gf4et a better look at the image, then zoom in to where I need to be.

Dave, I do feel your problem. Drives me to point of drinking every day. I'm the person who gets mad when I cannot scroll through an old program that doesn't support scrolling, and when I want to scroll down in Photoshop, by force of habit, i use the scroller. I just want to scream out, because 1/2 the time, if I go to use CTRL- then it never goes back to exactly 100%, it's always something like 97.4894% or 102.48944%, so I have to manually enter in 100% zoom to get it back to normal. I pray that it does not do that, or gives me the option to turn it off in 7, because you can't turn it off in 6 as far as I can tell, and I've looked for many hours.

I like the fact that the scroller on the mouse does the zooming. It makes it much easier for me. I guess at first it was kind of annoying. But I got used to it, and now I couldn't live without it.

Why is it so terrible? Either stop scrolling, or change your mouse. lol... No, I personally do not use the scroller for zooming, but I donĀ“t get mad because of it...You DO NOT HAVE TO USE IT... XD Besides, the zoom on PS is pretty crappy in the sense that the pixels "collide" with the resolution..it looks like ****, unless you have an "even" amount of zoom...Hate it. Well...all I want to say is: Get used to it. lol |
