No Pimps allowed!

I just got this error message while trying to open a jpg.



Well no kidding Mr. Smart Photoshop. It's not supposed to be a tiff. The file opens fine if I just go to the folder and open it from there, but if I try to open it from Photoshop --> Open Recent, that is what I get. So it's not like it's a problem, but it's more me just wondering why it's doing that, and if anyone else has seen that before.

Err... File Format is set to Tiff in "Open As" maybe?

Second shot is opening a jpg file but opened as GIF

Well it only happens if I use the Open Recent menu. Otherwise everything opens fine.

Well, if you don't mind resetting just reset all the tools in PS6

Not like it's a big deal, I generally never use the Open Recent menu, but I accidentally closed something I was working on, and I figured it'd be faster just to Open Recent, but pssh, I guess not.

LOL, I didn't even realize the topic of this thread. For the record, I did NOT mean to title it 'No Pimps Allowed'. If you do a search, you'll realize that this was a title to one of my previous threads, so my autocomplete in IE must have filled that in for me. I typed "NO", and I must have hit "ENTER", or hit the down arrow or something, and that became the title. Just for the record and all, so you don't all think I'm insane (prob. too late for that anyways).

I just think you're an undercover, top-secret-agent pimp, and maybe you don't want any competition from other pimps. You know, some sort of territorial pimp ritualistic thing. Sort of like dogs peeing on fire hydrants. Or better yet, other people's shoes. I had this dachsund (sp?) that always peed on people's shoes when they came over to visit, and my mother would always toss the little bastard out in the yard and he never really got the hint that he was being punished, because he liked to go outside, and then he'd just drink up more water and one of us kids would let him back in the house and then, sure as sh*t, the little F****r would piss on somebody asap, and then, this one time...

(how's that for not having one drop of photoshop in it?)
