i have checked my matlab folder but what am i looking for?

my photoshop doesn't reconginize any file extensions. if i save as .png it saves as .psd :(

Deleting the preferences file has been known to cure a variety of strange PS behavior. I'd give it a try. Google for it, if you don't know how.
