For creating what, Immortal? The "Sweet" text? It's not very evident how you applied the technique, and quite frankly, I'm thinking the lighting/beveling could all be done with easier, faster, more common processes. |

yes, for creating the "Sweet" text. Because I didn't use the same brush you did, and ended my image in grayscale instead of color, doesn't mean the same technique couldn't have still been applied. You can still see the smudges on the lettering. A stroke of black was applied around it, and a little extra beveling and a sharpen filter was applied as well, but everything was done still following the technique described by you. Some of the beveling looks a bit odd because of the technique, but in some cases, that might be a good thing. I have done beveling/lighting before, and this actually produced a more realistic look than most cases. I didn't post it to start an arguement, so I won't follow up if I see any, but I do congratulate you on your find; it was pretty fun to play around with. |

Float..an oldie but a goodie. I just tossed this technique out in the Adobe Forums Photoshop Lounge to rave reviews. Sorry my images are no longer online for this thread, but if you want to see what's what...go sign up at the Adobe User-to-User forums and navigate to the Photoshop "Lounge". And just F.Y.I.....they know me as "Phosphor" over there. |

OK...but can you read? I explained that my images are down, but several posts above here you can read the technique and try it out. It's really pretty clearly written and not too complicated. |

Yep, looks like you were able to get it sussed from just the written directions. Excellent. Here's one I did a couple weeks ago while teaching the technique at another forum: |

Hussain_shah86: Start a new topic in the "New to Photoshop" section to ask for help with that technique...you might even try searching the forum a little to see if you can find threads with similar requests. This section of the forum is for sharing techniques you already know, not for asking how to do something. And replying by email runs counter to the way this forum should work. The info should be discussed here so it benefits everyone. |
