Than have you tried the other suggestions: flattening , then trying to save as jpeg?

Save a copy of your PSD, then go to the layers palette's drop down menu and choose "flatten". But first, check that the image is in RGB, 8bits/channel (in its title bar, or in the image>mode menu) |
